Good unit but bad freezer drawer rail design

I bought this unit August 1 2019 and it worked fine until about a year ago when the rails of the freezer basket froze and failed making it impossible to open the freezer drawer more than a few inches. We used the authorized repair service recommended by Bosch and paid about $600 for the repair. Recently the rails failed again and this time Bosch responded quickly and made the repair promptly and at no cost to us for which I thank them and give them high marks

Deli drawer impossible to clean

I love this refrigerator except for one design flaw that I have been unable to find a way to manage. The deli drawer has a clear front panel that attaches to the white bottom. There is a clear strip where it attaches and food crumbs accumulate there. There is no way that I can see to take off the front panel to clean the drawer. It is now filthy.

ABSOLUTE TRASH The freezer stopped working within less than two years and I CANNOT find anyone to service my area and the three phone numbers that LG gave me are over an hour away and nobody will come service my freezer. They were not helpful at all whatsoever and k have no way of lifting my refrigerator out of my house and transporting it somewhere to get it serviced. DO NOT BUY LG DO NOT RECOMMEND

good refrigerator but ice maker is a problem

Refrigerator was pretty good. Just what we needed. However the ice maker left much to be desired. After 6 months it froze up and water was leaking out the back. We had it repaired. After another 6 months same thing. Again it was repaired. When it happened a third time we gave up and used manually filled ice trays. Tried once more. Repair person got us the repair kit to supposedly resolve this problem. It seemed to work. But then the problem recurred. Another repain person came and messed up the entire refrigerator. He replaced the compressor but broke the fan and clogged some tubes in the process. Refreigerator was not cooling. Fially a repair person from LG came. He had to literally rebuild the refrigerator: replaced compressor and fan replaced main board replaced freezer fan and cooling coils and fixed the ice maker. For ther moment eveything is working. Hopefully it will continue to do so.

Great disappointment with the freezer door

The LFCC22426S models bottom freezer door has been a problem since it was new. The freezer door would not open or only opened a couple of inches. An LG service representative has been to the house twice this week because the freezer door will not open. Freezer door could not be fixed because the part needed is not available. The refrigerator is only two years old and needs to be replaced. Luckily I have Lowes protection plan. I really liked the refrigerator and am so disappointed that the freezer door has been such a problem and I am now greatly inconvenienced with buying a new refrigerator and loosing food waiting for it to cool down.

I have spoken to appliance repairman and LG refrigerator need compressors and other parts replace frequently before 3 years old. I have had LG washers in the past and they also have had issues. I would never buy another or recommend your brand. I like the fridge otherwise. Lake appliance are doing the work to replace and they have been good.

First experience with LG

I bought this French Door refrigerator 8 months ago. Overall great styling and utility counter depth design works for me. However you must keep an eye on the doors which dont always shut without a little extra push. Had to manually defrost the freezer after drawer wasnt fully closed overnight. Dealing with customer service was ok.

Poor quality control

I recently purchased an RV with an LG refrigerator. It was missing the freezer gasket so the freezer would not get to freezer temperature. After contacting customer service they requested am original invoice for the refrigerator. I sent them the purchase order for the RV but they said that was not acceptable and would not send me the gasket. The RV dealer had to request the gasket. Ultimately after being without a freezer for three week I received the gasket which I installed the freezer worked fine. In addition I was told that there are no LG repair people in my area.

Handsome and Practical but Repairs Required

We bought this refrigerator about three years ago when we moved to a new house. It looks great and has the features we wanted but the freezer door has locked in a half-open position three times now requiring replacement parts once and service the next time. Now on the third round I am waiting to try out a defrost solution proposed by LG but the entire refrigerator has to be shut down for 8 hours so requires some planning. Not an experience that would cause me to rate this unit highly despite many good features.

Refrigerator Excellent Ice Maker a Problem

This is the second one of this model Ive purchased first one stayed with house I sold. After a few months of use the freezer started frosting up around ice maker. Then I realized I never used ice maker in first one because no water connection. Defrosted multiple times then called for service. They sent me an idiot link on how to defrost the freezer. Sent in service request again through online app three days ago. Hoping for response in next day or so.

Water pump broke after 2 years

The refrigerator itself is fine but the water pump to the ice maker broke after two years and this only has a one year warranty. Will probably not be an LG customer in the future.

About 8 months after purchasing the LG counter depth French door refrigerator..problems began. After 4 service visits LG deemed it unrepairable and opted to replace it. That model was no longer in stock..so a check was issued. I wont get into the money lost in spoiled food or inconvenience of waiting for repairs. To LGs credit they did reimburse me for the lemon..and I have the same model in our summer home that has performed flawlessly for over 5 yrs.

Attractive fridge

Well its actually a great fridge however the plastic piece on the bottom of the door which keeps the door closed snapped and flew out into the floor. So if you close the left side door the right side comes open. Submitted a request for repair and have been told to resubmit the request with proof of purchase which was included in my original request for service. Was also asked for more photos of the issue but there is nowhere to upload more than one photo and that one photo was my proof of purchase. Not sure where we go from here. The fridge is in our rv which we took delivery of in January but we purchased it in October 2022 after our previous one was destroyed in hurricane Ian. So we have only been using this fridge for just under 4 months. Its honestly a great fridge. We had one in our previos RV as well and loved it. The only complaint we have is that the ice maker is not super quick at making ice even with the Ice plus function on. I would recommend this appliance but not sure about the warranty service at this point. This is why I have given 3 stars. We just want it fixed and because we purchased it in October I would imagine the warranty will be expired this October before we return to Florida in November. Just very disappointed in LG at this time. Its not a cheap appliance and having a repair person come out will not be a cheap fix for us if the warranty is out of date.

Great Refridg...but has icemaker issues

Ive owned this refridge for about 2.5 yrs now....we had brin ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer compartment and icemaker issues since the very beginning. LG has been great to work with trying to determine the problem...mostly all paid for by LG. Now after 2.5 yrs and more icemaker problems LG has decided to refund my money...minus a little depreciation. I was surprised The Refridge works great so I thought they might just replace my icemaker....but I live in a remote area of Virginia and there are no LG Service companies anywhere close... I may still buy another LG refridge...just because LG has tried hard to solve the problem. I have several other LG products in my home and havent had any problems with them.

Before I hadnice his where I put water in it before it made ice. Now it take so much hassle off when guest are coming at our house.

NOT HAPPY WITH PRODUCT

I bought this refrigerator 14 months ago the top refrigerator part stop cooling. So I went to the owners manual in trouble shooting. First it has a LG Thin Q application that you can communicate with a Smart Phone. I installed the App and it is no longer an active App. The code that is showing on the fridge FF E this code is not in the manual. Then look for a warranty phone #1-800-243-0000 unable to connect to a live person tried calling again the person that answered said it was passed the one year warranty and I would have to call a repair person. The repair person came and replaced a part and said to give it a few hours to get cold. Fridge did not get cold and the code came back. Called repair person back and He ordered another part. By this time it has been 13 days and not repaired. Customer Service with LG Electronics has been the worst. I am not getting any satisfaction from this company.

This refrigerator is 2 cubic feet smaller than the one we replaced so its taken some getting used to as far as placing things in consistent locations goes. We will adjust to that over time. The one concern I have after a couple months of use is the ice maker. It frosts over pretty heavily on a consistent basis and also has a very slow ice production rate. If this is a problem that has been encountered by others and a fix is known Id surely like to hear what the fix is.

Interior lay out of the fridge is fantastic. Shelves and trays are strong. Doors are solid. Stainless finish is completely finger print free. The door closing mechanisms for the right hand fridge and the freezer are a bit touchy. A small plastic part that holds the right fridge door closed needed replacement at eight months. The LED displays the thermostats setting not the fridge or freezers actual temperature. Thus if the compressor or condenser were malfunctioning or the cooling fins icing up the owner would have no advance warning. It would be easy and inexpensive for LG to add fridge and freezer LED temperature displays and I strongly recommend it.
