The ice cubes are way too small, unless you like taking a drink and getting an ice cube in your mouth every time. And it is constantly running, maybe due to air filter, but doesn™€™t seem like that would be energy saving and cost efficient™€¦. other than those 2 things we do like the refrigerator. So that™€™s why the average middle of the road rating.

Good Refrigerator

Our new Frigidaire refrigerator replaced our 25 year old one. We purchased the white and it looks beautiful. It has a smooth finish on the front compared to the textured finish on our older model. The unit runs almost all the time, which is fairly typical for refrigerators, but it does stop when one of the doors are opened. The ice maker produces smaller ice cubes than our previous refrigerator. The ice maker seems to function fairly quickly, but only makes a small amount of ice, so it took about two days to fill the ice holder in the freezer. I wished there was a lower light on the frige side - not really a big deal during the day, but if you open it at night with the lights off it quite obvious that top light can't reach the lower area if the frige is filled. This unit does not come with a deli drawer. If you want one you'll have to purchase a 3rd party one. The refrigerator run noticeably louder than our previous one, which is a little annoying. Hopefully, I'll get used to it.

So Far a Decent Refrigerator

Bought to replace a similar 14 year old model Frigidaire. Have only had it for 2 weeks and so far it seems to be working properly. Was disappointed by some lack of quality control - Fridge door was out of alignment with the Freezer door and needed a service call to adjust - doors are still not exactly in line but better than before; one of the door "basket shelves" in the refrigerator had several cracks in it which is being replaced by Frigidaire; and, there was a tear in the lining between the frame and the plastic insert on the refrigerator side which I fixed with some acrylic latex caulk. The ice maker is pretty loud when it loads with water and when it dumps the ice into the tray. Am hopeful that these "quality control issues" do not extend to the compressor, electronics or other key parts of this appliance, and that it is as reliable as I have come to expect from Frigidaire products.

Too much wasted space

This refrigerator works well temperature-wise, but I was dismayed to find that is does not have a meat/deli drawer, and only one drawer in the freezer. There are therefore two very high shelves in both the freezer and refrigerator side. I generally only have one shelf™€™s worth of tall items, so there is a lot of unused space in both sides. That is a shame. Additional shelves (or, better yet, those missing drawers) would have been nice.

New Frigidaire is big Improvement

I replaced my less than 7 year old refrigerator with a Frigidaire Side by Side about 1 month ago. The old frig temperature control board had failed twice in 6 months and was not worth fixing again. My new Frigidaire gives perfect temperature control on both sides and the control panel is much more user friendly. I have plenty of storage on both sides for my needs with space left over. The ice maker is also very productive and give perfect sized cubes when needed. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This refrigerator / freezer was purchased to replace a 24 year old GE side by side that served its purpose incredibly well. So far, this replacement has picked right up where the GE left off with some added extra bells and whistles. For example, water filter for water dispenser which GE did not have, air filter, led lighting and a digital panel for ice, water, lights and temp control. Simple, yet elegant in functionality.

My New Frigidaire and I started off a little shaky™€¦ I had to get the manual out and realize that it is called a continuous run refrigerator which means that it™€™s not the same as my 10 year old fridge that only ran based on a thermostat™€¦. You will hear the fridge running almost all the time. Finding my appropriate temp control setting as well.
